Leong Jun Hao has finished as runner-up at the Japan Badminton Masters after going down in straight sets to China’s Li Shifeng.

It caps a remarkable run for the Malaysian shuttler, who earlier defeated four higher-ranked opponents en-route to the final.

This was Jun Hao’s first Super 500 final and he’s also the first men’s singles player from BAM to make it to the final of a World Tour event this year.
