Ex-Spurs Captain Questions Ange Sacking

Jun 17, 2025

ex-spurs captain questions ange sacking

Former Tottenham captain Hugo Lloris has questioned the club's sacking boss Ange Postecoglou.

He admits that they had a poor domestic season, after finishing just above the Premier League relegation zone.

However, he reckons Spurs should have also considered their Europa League victory – their first major trophy in 17 years.

Serie A champions Napoli will soon decide on whether to prioritize a move for Man City's Jack Grealish or Man United's Alejandro Garnacho this summer.

Reports say that Napoli would prefer to sign Grealish, but they also believe that Garnacho would be a better long-term investment due to his age.

--

Inter Milan's new coach Cristian Chivu says the Club World Cup will serve as a fresh start after a disappointing campaign.

This, after Inter ended the season with a 5-0 thrashing by PSG in the Champions League final, and missed out on the Serie A title by just one point.

Inter will face Mexican club Monterrey in their opening Club World Cup match tomorrow morning, ahead of games against Japan's Urawa Red Diamonds and Argentina's River Plate.

Chelsea are considering a move for Lyon attacker Malick Fofana.

The 20-year-old would replace Jadon Sancho, who's returning to Man United after Chelsea decided not to convert his loan into a permanent deal.
