Man City are on the verge of a fourth successive Premier League title.

This, after they defeated Tottenham 2-0 this morning…to open up a two point lead over Arsenal at the top of the standings.

Pep Guardiola’s side now need to beat West Ham in their final game of the season this weekend, to guarantee them the trophy.

Meanwhile, Spurs’ loss this morning means they will finish the season no higher than fifth.

It ensures that fourth placed Aston Villa have secured a spot in next season’s Champions League.

This will be the first time in 41 years that Villa will be playing top tier European football.

-

Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna is being linked with the Man United job…if the Red Devils end up sacking Erik Ten Hag at the end of the season.

McKenna – who has guided Ipswich back up to the Premier League next season – is well-regarded at Old Trafford, where he spent six years on the coaching staff.

-

Our mixed doubles pair of Goh Soon Huat-Shevon Lai have made an early exit from the Thailand Badminton Open…losing to their opponents from the host nation in the opening round.

12 other Malaysian reps, including singles ace Lee Zii Jia, will be in first round action later today.

-

Malaysian squash star S. Sivasangari has lost in the third round of the PSA World Championships…going down in straight sets to Hania El Hammamy of Egypt.

-

And, Malaysia has made the semis of the Women’s Indoor Hockey Asia Cup, after their 4-2 group stage victory over Iran.
