M. Thinaah down with COVID-19

Malaysia’s women’s badminton team suffered a blow ahead of their opening fixture against Japan in the Badminton Asia Championships.
This, after doubles shuttler M.Thinaah tested positive for the coronavirus.
The BAM says she is asymptomatic, while her partner Pearly Tan tested negative.

Malaysia wins AFF under-23 match against Myanmar without kicking a ball
Malaysia was awarded a walkover win in the AFF under-23 opening match in Cambodia today.
This is after opponents Myanmar withdrew due to several players contracting COVID-19.
Earlier, defending champions Indonesia was also forced to pull out from the competition following a COVID outbreak in the team.

Novak Djokovic says he is not against the COVID-19 vaccine

Novak Djokovic says he is not an anti-vaxxer, but rather supports people’s right to choose.
He told the BBC that he would rather miss out on future tennis trophies than be forced to take the COVID-19 vaccine.
Last month, the 20-times Grand Slam winner was deported from Australia after his visa was cancelled due to his vaccination status.
