Premier League football is officially back in action!

Brentford kicked off their campaign with a 2-nil victory over Arsenal earlier this morning.

Sergi Canos scored the opening goal, followed by Christian Nørgaard in the second half.

The EPL opener was also Brentford's first time back in the topflight after over seven decades.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is disappointed with his team's performance, after losing 2-nil to Brentford in their opening EPL clash earlier this morning.

Arteta also apologized to fans for the defeat saying it wasn't the end result he had wished for.

He adds that players Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette are still doubts, after missing this morning's opener as they are feeling unwell.

Bukayo Saka given standing ovation during Arsenal’s EPL match against Brentford

Arsenal's Bukayo Saka was given a standing ovation by both Gunners and Brentford fans on his first appearance since EURO 2020.

Saka was among several players who suffered racial abuse online, after missing the penalty for England, in their final defeat to Italy.

Brentford won 2-nil.
