The Malaysia hockey team has kept its slim semifinal hopes alive at the Asian Champions Trophy…after a 5-4 victory over Japan.

This is the Speedy Tigers’ first win at the tournament, having drawn one and lost two of their earlier games.

The national team now needs to beat South Korea in their final round-robin match tomorrow, to stand a chance of making the semifinals.

In Malaysian Super League action, DT recorded a comfortable 5-0 victory over Penang FC.

The Southern Tigers are unbeaten after nine matches and currently hold a six point lead at the top of the standings.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has signed a contract extension, that will keep him at the Emirates until 2027.

The Gunners have won the FA Cup…and finished as EPL runners-up in the past two seasons...since the Spaniard took charge in 2019.

The hearing for Man City’s alleged breaches of financial regulations dating back to 2009 will begin on Monday.

A verdict is expected to be reached by the end of the season, with the EPL champions facing a possible points deduction or even relegation if found guilty.
