The English FA says it has a succession plan in place, in the event that Gareth Southgate decides to quit as England boss.

This, after Southgate suggested that he could step down, if the Three Lions fail to win Euro 2024.

The FA also says its not received any offers for the 53-year-old…despite reports linking him with several Premier League clubs.

In FA Cup action back home…Super League club PDRM have fallen to a shock 3-nil defeat to semi-pro side Malaysia University Football Team in the last-16.

Malaysia and Selangor FC winger Faisal Halim is expected to hold a press conference this afternoon, in what will be his first public appearance since his recent acid attack.

Malaysia is off to a flying start at the Asian Team Squash Championships.

Our men’s squad have booked a place in the quarterfinals…after comfortable wins over Iraq and Iran on the opening day.

The women’s team also registered victories over Chinese Taipei and Macau to top their group.

Tennis legend Rafa Nadal will be teaming up with rising star Carlos Alcaraz as doubles partners, at next month’s Paris Olympics.

And, US basketball legend and Olympic gold medalist Jerry West – whose silhouette was the inspiration for the NBA’s iconic logo -  has passed away at the age of 86.
