Pandalela: Outside Interference Caused Poor Diving Results

Feb 13, 2024

pandalela: outside interference caused poor diving results

Datuk Pandalela Rinong has blamed interference from outside parties, for the diving squad's disappointing results at the recent World Aquatic Championships in Qatar.

She says she will soon discuss the matter with the Youth and Sports Minister.

The disappointing performances meant that Pandalela and other national divers failed to qualify for this year's Paris Olympics.

But despite this Pandalela says she has no immediate plans to retire from the sport.

--

Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has praised his team's 2nd half performance, after they came from behind to beat Crystal Palace 3-1 in the Premier League.

This, after the Blues were heavily criticised for their recent back-to-back defeats against Liverpool and Wolves.

Chelsea are now in 10th place in the standings, 13 points off the top four.

--

Thousands of Ivory Coast fans have gathered at the country's capital to witness the team's victory parade following their Africa Cup of Nations victory.

Ivory Coast beat Nigeria 2-1 in the final to lift the trophy for a third time.

--

And a proposal to reduce the number of Serie A clubs from 20 to 18 has failed, after a majority of current clubs in the Italian league voted against it.
