Msia One Of Several Possible Commonwealth Games Venues

Mar 12, 2024

The organiser of the Commonwealth Games says it's in advanced talks with several countries to host the event in 2026.

This includes Malaysia.

According to the UK-based Commonwealth Games Federation, Malaysia was shortlisted because of its track record in hosting sporting events including the 1998 Games.

The Federation is looking for a new host, after the Australian city of Victoria pulled out.

Gabriel Martinelli is an injury doubt for Arsenal when they host Porto in their Champions League last-16 second leg against Porto.

However, Takehiro Tomiyasu could feature after recovering from a knock.

The Gunners will have to overturn a 1-nil deficit, if they want to reach the quarter-finals.

--

Manchester City are considering a move for Newcastle's Bruno Guimaraes this summer.

The treble winners can sign him if they pay his £ 100 million release clause.

--

And Man United are reportedly preparing a £75 million offer for Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite.

It's believed they will go through with the transfer regardless of Erik ten Hag's future as United manager.
