Cole Palmer put in a man-of-the match performance to help Chelsea to a 3-2 EPL win over Newcastle this morning.

The attacker set up one goal and scored another, as the Blues recorded their first league win in three matches.

It leaves Chelsea 11th in the standings, one point behind the Magpies...although Mauricio Pochettino’s side have a game in hand.

---

Elsewhere, Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr have been knocked out of the of the Asian Champions League, after losing to Al Ain on penalties in the second leg of their quarterfinal tie.

---

Real Madrid's Brahim Diaz has decided to represent Morocco instead of Spain.

According to reports, the attacker made the decision to switch international allegiances, due to a lack of opportunities with Spain at the senior level.

---

Manchester City's Ederson could be sidelined for up to four weeks due to a muscle injury that he picked up in their 1-1 draw with Liverpool at the weekend.

---

National shuttlers Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi Yik and Pearly Tan/M. Thinaah are among seven Malaysian reps who will start their campaign at the All England Championships today.
