Champions Argentina have fallen to a 2-1 defeat to Colombia in their South American World Cup qualifier this morning.

James Rodriguez netted the winner from the penalty spot to give the Colombians revenge for their defeat to the Argentines in the recent Copa America final.

This is Argentina’s second defeat in qualifying although they remain top of the standings.

In Asian Zone qualifiers, Indonesia did well to hold Australia to a goalless draw.

This is the Southeast Asian side’s second draw against more fancied opponents having played out a 1-1 draw with Saudi Arabia in their earlier group opener.

Over in the Nations League…Harry Kane scored both goals on his 100th appearance for England in their 2-0 win over Finland.

While The Netherlands and Germany played out a 2-2 draw.

Aston Martin have officially announced the signing of F1 design guru Adrian Newey, who will also become a shareholder in the UK-based team.

Newey’s cars have won 25 drivers and constructors titles for Williams, McLaren and Red Bull.
