Euro 2024: Koeman Blames VAR

Netherlands boss Ronald Koeman has blamed VAR for their Euro 2024 semifinal exit.  

This is after England were awarded a contentious penalty, which allowed them to come back from a goal down to win the match 2-1.  

Dutch captain Virgil van Dijk agrees, adding that referees must be accountable for their decisions.  

Meanwhile England boss Gareth Southgate has hailed the result as his greatest achievement so far, as the Three Lions have qualified for their first-ever final on foreign soil.

Columbia have booked their place in the Copa America final after beating Uruguay 1-nil this morning.  

Jefferson Lerma scored Colombia's winner late in the first half and managed to hold on despite being reduced to 10 men due to a red card.  

Meanwhile a mass brawl erupted between Colombian fans and Uruguayan players including Darwin Nunez.  

Uruguay's Jose Maria Giminez says it started after the supporters harassed the players’ families.

And the France Football Federation has confirmed that Didier Deschamps will remain in charge of their national team, at least until after the next World Cup.  

Deschamp's future was in doubt following their Euro 2024 semifinal defeat to Spain.
