"Reds Need To Be At Their Best Against PSG"

Mar 11, 2025

reds need to be at their best against psg

Liverpool boss Arne Slot says his side will need to put on their best performance of the season to beat PSG in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie tomorrow.

The Reds managed a lucky 1-0 win in Paris last week, but were second-best for most of the first-leg tie.

Slot says they will need to be at their best in Anfield to get the better of PSG, who he called the Reds’ most complete opponents so far.

-

Meanwhile, Real Madrid will welcome Thibaut Courtois and Antonio Rudiger back to their matchday squad for Thursday’s Champions League return leg against Atletico after the players recovered from injury and illness respectively.

-

Newcastle are up to sixth in the EPL standings, after a hard-fought 1-0 win over West Ham this morning.

The Magpies are now level on points with fifth-placed Man City.

-

Chelsea are reportedly preparing a summer move for Man United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo.

This, amid speculation the 19-year-old is looking to leave Old Trafford to seek a more lucrative contract.

-

And, men’s doubles star Aaron Chia and mixed-doubles shuttler Cheng Su Yin have both been cleared to compete at today’s All England Championship, after sufficiently recovering from shoulder and ankle injuries respectively.
