kbs: our olympic athletes will be safe

The Youth and Sports Minister says our Olympic athletes have nothing to worry about at the upcoming Paris Games.

She says the safety of the athletes and support staff is a top priority for her ministry and the Olympic Council of Malaysia.

Our contingent has also received assurances from French security forces.

This, amid the ongoing political turmoil in France.

England’s Harry Kane has assured that he will be fit for tomorrow morning’s Euro 2024 semifinal against the Netherlands.

Injury concerns forced his substitution in extra time during their quarterfinal win over Switzerland/

However, it was later confirmed he had only suffered cramps.

--

Argentina have booked their spot in the Copa America final, after Julian Alvarez and Lionel Messi gave them a 2-0 win over Canada.

The defending champions will face either Uruguay or Colombia, who will face each other tomorrow morning.

Reports say Man United are inching closer to signing Bayern Munich defender Matthijs de Ligt.

It’s believed they’ve reached a verbal agreement with the player on personal terms, but still need to settle on a transfer fee with the German giants.

And a group of Marseille fans have urged the club to scrap their plans to sign Man United’s Mason Greenwood over his earlier legal battles.

The player was arrested for alleged attempted rape but his charges were later dropped.
