Amorim Rumoured To Be Close To Anfield Move

Sporting Lisbon boss Ruben Amorim could take the reins at Liverpool next season.  

Sources say the Reds have tabled a three-year contract offer to the Portuguese, with both parties close to agreeing to financial terms.  

The Merseyside club are in the market for a new manager to replace Jurgen Klopp, who’ll be leaving at the end of the season after over 8 years at Anfield.

Man United and Arsenal have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Everton’s Amadou Onana.  

According to reports, the midfielder is keen to leave the club this summer, while the Toffees are prepared to sell to raise much-needed funds.

Speaking of Everton, they’ve been hit by a new two point deduction by the Premier League, for breaching financial fair play regulations. 

It drops them down to 16^th in the EPL standings, just two points off the relegation zone.

Uefa is considering increasing the squad size for Euro 2024 teams from 23 to 26 players.  

It comes amid concerns by some national team managers, about their players being overworked after a long domestic season.

And, Al Nassr have been knocked out of the Saudi Super Cup after a 2-1 semifinal defeat to Al Hilal… in a match that also saw Al Nassr captain Cristiano Ronaldo red carded for elbowing an opponent.
