Malaysia are out of the Sudirman badminton Cup!

This is after our team were beaten 3-0 by hosts and defending champions China in the quarterfinals.

The result means that our team missed out on claiming a third consecutive bronze medal in the tournament, having reached the semifinals in 2021 and 2023.

--

Man United boss Ruben Amorim says he cannot explain why there is such a big performance gap between their domestic and European campaigns.

United are struggling in the Premier League, lying in 14th place in the table.

In contrast, they have been flying high in Europe – beathing Athletic Bilbao 3-0 in this morning's Europa League semifinal first leg.

This means that they are the only team to remain unbeaten in European competition.

--

Tottenham attacker Brennan Johnson has made the history books after he scored the fastest-ever goal in a Europa League semifinal.

The Welshman only needed 38 seconds to score Spurs’ opening goal in their 3-1 win over Bodo/Glimt in this morning's first leg clash.

Meanwhile, Spurs have played down any serious injury concerns for Dominic Solanke and James Madison, who limped off this morning's match.

Boss Ange Postecoglou says he's hopeful that they will return to fitness in time for the return leg next week.
