Man United Take Control Against Bilbao

Man United have taken a huge step towards the Europa League final after a convincing 3-0 win away to Athletic Bilbao, in the first leg of their semi this morning.

Casemiro opened the scoring for the Red Devils before Bruno Fernandes added two more just before the break.

Meanwhile, fellow English side Tottenham are also strong contenders to make the final after a 3-1 first leg victory over Bodo Glimt in their last four encounter.

If Spurs and United make it through it will be only the sixth all-English final in a major European competition.

There will also likely be an English finalist in the UEFA Conference League…after Chelsea recorded a 4-1 win over Djurgarden in the first leg of their semifinal.

This morning’s only Premier League game saw Nottingham Forest lose 2-0 to Brentford.

Forest are currently sixth in the EPL standings…with just two points separating them and third placed Newcastle.

And the Red Bull F1 team says Max Verstappen will fulfil his track commitments at this weekend’s Miami GP…despite the world champion awaiting the imminent birth of his first child.
