Internet usage currently at over 89%

Internet usage in the country is currently at over 89 percent compared to 80 percent last year.

The MCMC says social media users used the internet for about four hours a day, adding that 15 percent of users are aged 19 and below.

The Ministry adds there was an increase in the number of Facebook account owners to 97 percent, Instagram to 56 percent, and Twitter to 26 percent.

It advised internet users to be more wary of sharing information online.
