No reports of disease outbreak in Penang and Kedah

The Health Ministry have confirmed there are no reports of disease outbreak in areas affected by floods in the northern states.

The Ministry's flood team have conducted health checks on only 36 percent out of one thousand flood victims in Penang and Kedah, and all are clear from disease.

Meanwhile, the Ministry has advised those affected by the floods to be cautious of their food consumption and the cleanliness of their surroundings.

Currently, 1300 flood victims are still being sheltered at 9 flood relief centres in Penang.
