Another child hospitalised for suspected rabies

Jul 09, 2017

Another child from Serian, Sarawak has been hospitalised for suspected rabies infection.

This brings the total number of cases to 4.

Officials say they're still waiting for test results to confirm whether the young victim is indeed infected with rabies.

Meanwhile, a 7-year-old, who was previously confirmed to have rabies, has not shown any improvement in her health.

Officials say she's still under strict observation at the ICU.

2 other rabies victims, a 6-year-old girl and her 4-year-old  brother, died from the disease earlier this week.
