Memo being shared online about whooping cough case in Sabah
Aug 04, 2017
A memo, apparently from the Keningau health department, is being shared on social media, saying two cases of whooping cough have been detected in the district in Sabah.
The Sabah Health department director, however, has declined to comment on the authenticity of the memo.
The air-borne disease, which causes severe coughing, affects people of all ages, although it can be particularly dangerous to babies and young kids.
Whooping cough, however, can be treated with antibiotics.
