Higher Education Ministry ready to evacuate students in Bali

Nov 30, 2017

The Higher Education Ministry is ready to evacuate students in Bali to a safer place such as Surabaya, if needed.

The holiday island is under a volcano-eruption alert at the moment because of Mount Agung.

155 Malaysians are studying in Bali, with 16 of them having returned home so far.

Meanwhile, the Ngurah Rai airport has reopened and airlines are working to get stranded passengers home.

MAS and Air Asia have both resumed flights to the area.
