Police prevented terror attack attempts on National Day eve

Sep 01, 2016

Bukit Aman prevented an attempt to launch a terror attack on National Day eve, by arresting 3 people in KL, Selangor and Pahang last Saturday and Monday.

The IGP says the 3 IS supporters had planned to use hand grenades and firearms to attack an entertainment centre in KL, a Hindu temple in Batu Caves and a police station or any police officer.

The 3 Malaysians, aged between 20 and 27, had planned to go to Syria to join the IS after launching the attacks.
