Those planning to visit the Philippines urged to contact Wisma Putra

Sep 05, 2016

Those planning to visit the Philippines should contact Wisma Putra and the Malaysian Embassy in Manila, to find out the latest situation in the country.

This comes in the wake of an explosion at a night market in Davao City on Friday, that killed 14 people and injured at least 60 others, none of them Malaysians.

The Foreign Ministry says Davao was formerly known as the safest place in the Philippines, but it cannot guarantee there will be no further attacks.

The explosion has been classified a terror attack, and authorities there are looking for a man and 2 women for questioning.
