Muktadil brothers killed in shootout with Philippines military

The notorious Muktadil brothers were killed in a shootout with the Philippines military during an operation in Sulu yesterday.

The duo were leaders of an Abu-Sayyaf-linked kidnap-for-ransom group, which was responsible for a series of kidnappings involving 26 Malaysians and Indonesians.

The bodies of the 2 militants have been sent to Jolo.
