School bus operators have been urged to reconsider a proposed fare hike next year.
The Education Ministry says operators should consult with parents first, before doing anything that would add to their financial burden.
It comes after the Federation of Malaysian School Bus Operators Association proposed a fare hike of between 10 and 20 ringgit, to help cover rising operating costs.
