Botched circumcision doctors to be investigated
Jan 06, 2017
The 2 doctors involved in recent botched circumcisions in KL have been referred to the Malaysian Medical Council for investigation.
The Health Ministry says action could be taken against them, if they are found to have been professionally negligent.
It adds, its Medical Practice Division will also investigate the doctors' clinics, to see if they have adequate facilities to carry out the surgeries.
In one of the cases, the boy's privates had to be amputated, while in the other botched circumcision, doctors successfully attached the boy's parts.
