Security around the Batu Caves temple has been increased

Security around the Batu Caves temple has been increased, amid possible security threats. 

The head of the temple committee told us, the number of security forces on duty there has been increased, from 2 to 8 officers, while the police have also stepped up patrols around the area. 

The committee also reminded members of the public that they too can do their part in maintaining security, by reporting anything suspicious to the relevant authoriities. 

This, after the police arrested 3 suspects, who were allegedly planning militant attacks on the temple, as well as entertainment outlets and police stations, on the eve of National Day.
