Cops say there are several reasons for the unusually high traffic volume in the Klang Valley recently.
KL Traffic Police told Sinar Harian, it's due to people going out shopping ahead of Chinese New Year.
Meanwhile, there was added security in the city for the Conference of Rulers meeting
Also, the unpredictable weather prompted more motorists to use cars instead of motorbikes.

The Education Ministry is meeting with private kindergarten operators over the move to enroll 6-year-olds into primary school from next year.
Its minister says generally, kindergartens are in favour of the move, as it will strengthen early education.
However, they also raised concerns about managing the transition to primary school.
Starting 2027, parents will have the option to enroll their children inro primary school a year earlier, at 6 years of age.

Separately, the Education Ministry assures it is working closely with the Ministry of Health to minimise the risk of tuberculosis in schools.
This, after 10 TB clusters were reported in several states.

The govt feels that the MyKad remains the best method to minimise leakages in delivering targeted subsidies.
Second Finance Minister Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan says it allows for identity verification without forcing people to go through multiple hoops...
Currently, the MyKad is used to verify Budi95 petrol subsidy recipients, and it's also used for SARA aid.
The govt is now looking to expand its use to the purchase of subsidised cooking oil.

The suspect accused of stabbing a 16-year-old girl at a school in Bandar Utama last year has pleaded NOT guilty to murder.
This comes a month after a psychiatric evaluation deemed that the 15-year-old is mentally fit to stand trial.
