Students Must Provide Full Records Upon School Transfer

Dec 24, 2025

students must provide full records upon school transfer

Starting next year, students must provide full records when they transfer to a new school.

The Education Ministry says this includes their disciplinary record, as well as physical and mental health assessment.

Its director general told Utusan Malaysia, this is part of new guidelines to deal with issues including bullying, sexual harassment and security in schools.

He says previously, student transfers happened without detailed documentation.

At times, this contributed to incidents at the new schools because staff were unaware of the students’ backgrounds.
