MMC Clears Confusion About "Dr." Title

mmc clears confusion about dr. title

Medical graduates do not need to be registered with the Malaysian Medical Council to use the title of ‘doctor’.

It says its OK to use the title to reflect one’s academic qualifications, adding that registration with the MMC is only required for those who want to become actual medical practitioners.

The council said this to clear confusion about those using the title of doctor even though they are not registered under the MMC database.

The Attorney General’s Chambers has dismissed claims that the KL High Court ruling on Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s house arrest bid, had eroded royal powers.

It says the minutes of the Pardon’s Board meeting clearly showed the issue of house arrest was never discussed or ordered by the previous Yang DiPertuan Agong.

It also cautioned against attempts to incite or disrupt public order through misleading interpretations of the court's judgment.
