In non-flood news, police are still investigating the extortion emails sent to several political figures recently.
The IGP says one area of focus, is to determine if the motive was purely financial, or if it there were any political elements.
So far, 10 people have claimed that they received the threatening emails, but only 4 have lodged official police reports.
The emails threatened to release AI-generated explicit videos of the recipients if they fail to pay hundreds of thousands of ringgit.

Elsewhere, the IGP says police are still trying to identify the suspects who attacked the son of Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli in Putrajaya last month.
