TikTok Summoned Over Social Media Trend

Tik Tok has been summoned by the Communications Ministry to provide an explanation about how it plans to address complaints about the latest PK Battle trend.

PK Battle is a LIVE competition between social media users who compete for digital gifts from viewers.

This, following complaints from parents that their kids have become fixated with the trend, and are even skipping school to participate.

The government will focus on several strategies to ensure that the expanded SST, which comes into force today, is implemented smoothly.

The Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry says this includes collecting price and service charge data to compare pre- and post-SST changes.

It will also send written warnings to non-compliant businesses or those who raise prices indiscriminately.

The JB-Singapore Rapid Transit System has achieved 56% physical progress as of last  month.

The project which aims to connect the two countries in just five minutes, is expected to  be completed by the end of next year.

The KLIA Aerotrain will resume full operations at 10AM today...after over 2 years out of service.

The new trains can now carry up to 270 passengers, connecting the main terminal and satellite building in under three minutes.
