Malaysians Urged To Evacuate Iran

Malaysians in Iran are being urged to immediately evacuate by any means possible.
The Foreign Ministry also assured that it's in contact with all registered Malaysians there, and that it's ready to offer assistance.
The Ministry said this following the escalating tensions and rocket attacks between Iran and Israel, adding that the situation can worsen at any moment.

In a related development, US President Donald Trump has called for Iran's "unconditional surrender".
He also warned that the US could take a more aggressive stance and deepen its involvement if tensions don't cool down soon.

The KL Strike Force will step up efforts to combat vape-based drug abuse among youths in the city.
The Federal Territories Ministry says the special unit will do so by working with enforcement agencies, educational institutions, local communities, and public health experts.
It adds that the misuse of vaping devices to distribute illicit substances is becoming increasingly concerning, as it's begun spreading even to schoolchildren.

Separately, police have assured that KL is still safe, despite two shootings in the city over a span of four days.
Cops told Berita Harian that the two shootings – in Brickfields and Cheras – were believed to be due to criminal disputes involving suspects from other states.

The Health Ministry says the Optometry Bill is expected to be tabled in Parliament this October.
The proposed legislation will, among other things, regulate the profession in Malaysia, cover the online sales of optical products, and safeguard consumer safety.

At least two dozen flights to and from the Indonesian resort island of Bali have been cancelled...following the eruption of the Mount Lewotobi Laki-Laki volcano on Flores Island.
The last eruption there last November killed nine people and also led to flight cancelations.
