Malaysia Needs More STEM Students

Malaysia needs more students in the field of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.  

The Education Ministry says we're still a long way from meeting our 60 – 40 ratio target of students in the STEM field compared to the arts stream.  

As such, it'll be implementing more intervention programs nationwide. 

This includes ensuring that students have the support of trained counselors when it comes to choosing their subjects.

Report any complaints about the price of goods and services directly to the authorities, instead of posting about it on social media. 

The Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry says that this way, authorities can take quicker action.

It explained that when an incident goes viral...the offending traders will sometimes readjust their prices before the ministry can even investigate

PLUS will be activating 21 additional Smart Lanes along its highway from tomorrow, to ease congestion for the upcoming Deepavali festive season. 

This, as officials are expecting traffic to surge to 2.1 million vehicles daily during peak dates.
