Sosmed Companies Still Not Doing Enough To Curb Crime

Social media companies are still not doing enough to curb criminal activities on their platforms.
The Communications Minister says this is despite his ministry holding nearly two dozen discussions with these firms so far.
He adds that many of these companies merely wait for complaints before taking action…instead of being proactive in studying and identifying crime trends on the platforms.

Perlis is closely monitoring its border crossings with Thailand, to prevent the spread of the Mpox virus.
The state health department says its being extra vigilant in screening visitors, particularly those with a history of travel to countries with Mpox cases.
Its also established SOP’s for handling visitors who display symptoms.

A cat that was seen hanging from the back a pickup truck in a recent viral video, is now up for adoption after being treated by the Penang Veterinary Department.
Officials add that no charges were filed against the truck driver, after it emerged that he had actually tried to rescue the animal, and was unaware that it had jumped out of the moving vehicle.
