Telegram has topped the list of platforms used in investment scams. 

Bukit Aman says over 1,300 cases so far this year were linked to the messaging platform. 

These cases resulted in losses amounting to nearly 30 million ringgit.  

Meanwhile, Meta apps are also frequently used for investment scams.  

Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram came in after Telegram.

Be careful when sharing photos of your children. 

The de-facto Law Minister says parents need be to be cautious, because artificial intelligence can be used to manipulate such photos.  

As such, she's urging the government to quickly table the online safety bill so action can be taken against the misuse of children's images without permission on social media.  

This, after a school bus driver in Johor was remanded for five days for uploading videos of female students on his popular Tik Tok account without their parents' consent.  

He's also under fire for his inappropriate remarks regarding the children. 

Meanwhile, the Education Ministry says it's ready to provide counselling to the affected victims.

The Fire Department says a man who made insensitive remarks on Tik Tok regarding the Jalan Masjid India sinkhole tragedy is not one of their staff members.  

Earlier, the clip made its rounds on Whatsapp accompanied with a message claiming that the man is the Bomba chief.

And Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil says the government has no plans to impose regulatory frameworks on podcast content creators, adding that the existing laws are enough. 

He said this at the Syok Fest Kita festival, where you can experience local delicacies, interactive workshops, and games at Setia City Park, Oval Lawn this weekend.
