Too Risky To Proceed!

Aug 30, 2024

too risky to proceed!

The Fire and Rescue Department has stopped using divers to look for the missing woman in last week’s sinkhole incident along KL’s Masjid India.

Senior officials say it was too risky for them to carry on, due to strong currents, debris and tight space.

However, search efforts WILL continue, using alternative methods.

Meanwhile, DBKL has confirmed another spot near the Masjid India area where minor soil depression was detected.

According to its social media page, it was likely due to repair works on water pipes, and the relevant authorities have already been told to take remedial measures.

Separately, Indar Water Konsortium has denied that its sewage pipes were to blame for another sinkhole, which appeared in Kampung Kerinchi recently.

The utility says checks found that the pipes were in good condition, with no signs of damage.

IWK says further investigations need to be conducted to determine what happened.

A badminton player has been fined RM25,000 for abusing his pet dog last month.

A viral video showed the 21-year-old beating the husky at his apartment in Kajang.
