Cops Staying Silent On Kidnapping Motive

Police will not reveal the motive behind the recent kidnapping of a six-year-old girl in Johor, until the probe is complete.

The Johor police chief says this is to ensure the investigation process goes smoothly.

However, the cops will regularly update the public about the status of the investigation.

This, after a 31 year old suspect who was detained at the location where the girl was found, had his remand extended until this Sunday.

Four other suspects who had been arrested earlier, have since been released on police bail.

The Finance Ministry is warning people to beware of a message being spread via WhatsApp, apparently about the salary increase for civil servants.

It clarified that the post, using the Finance Ministry’s name, is FAKE, and urged people not to share it.

Selangor police have questioned a man, over a viral video showing his underaged kid driving his younger siblings in a joyride around their neighbourhood.

Cops have also spoken to the kids as part of the investigation, which is being carried out under the Road Transport Act.

The Fire Department says that overweight firefighters will no longer be eligible for promotions and awards, to ensure our firemen are physically fit for duty.

Earlier, 17% of its personnel were identified as overweight, with some even having non[1]communicable diseases such as high blood pressure.
