zayn rayyan update: 3 new statements recorded

Selangor police have recorded statements from three people, in their ongoing investigation into the murder of 6-year-old autistic boy Zayn Rayyan.

The state police chief told Harian Metro they were called in to help ongoing investigations, and no arrests were made.

Last week, cops remanded Zayn’s parents, nearly half a year after the boy's remains was found near his home in Damansara Damai.

1,351 road crashes were reported nationwide yesterday, resulting in 13 fatalities.

Meanwhile, according to data from Bukit Aman traffic police, over 4,700 accidents happened during the long holiday weekend.

Nearly 60 people were killed in fatal crashes during the three-day period.

Alpine Club Malaysia says the remains of the Malaysian climber who died while attempting to scale Mount Denali in the US state of Alaska, will be flown back home once his post-mortem is completed.

A second climber is still receiving medical treatment in hospital, while a third has since been discharged from hospital.
