Lumut Crash: Final Report Released

May 30, 2024

lumut crash: final report released

The final report into last month's Navy helicopter crash has been released.

Navy chief Admiral Tan Sri Abdul Rahman Ayob says one of the helicopters involved had strayed away from its designated heading and altitude and veered into the other chopper's path.

The other chopper was focused on changing course, which limited their ability to avoid the collision.

10 personnel were killed in the accident, which happened during rehearsals to mark the Navy's 90th anniversary.
