Daily COVID-19 cases in Malaysia reached a record breaking 24,599 infections today.

The Health Ministry says Selangor continues to report the bulk of the total, ahead of Sabah, and Johor.

Five other states also had four-digit cases, while KL saw a drop of fewer than 1 thousand infections.

80% of adult population now partially vaccinated against COVID-19

80% of the country's adult population has now received one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

This means almost 19 million people are now partially immunised against the coronavirus.

Meanwhile, nearly 14 million others have already completed both doses, accounting for around 59% of the adult population.

PM to announce Cabinet line-up tomorrow; swearing-in ceremony slated for Monday

PM Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob is scheduled to announce his new Cabinet members tomorrow at 11am.

The PM’s office adds that the swearing in ceremony will take place on Monday at 2.30 in the afternoon.

Datuk Seri Ismail had an audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong earlier today, to present his Majesty with the proposed line-up.
