Nursing and expecting mothers urged to update MySejahtera status

Pregnant, lactating women should get medical advice before getting vaccine  | Astro Awani

The Health Ministry has assured that the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine is safe and effective for both nursing and expecting mothers.

Because of this, it has urged such women to immediately update their details on the MySejahtera app to ensure they receive the suitable vaccine.

It adds that vaccinations have already started involving those women.

Malaysia reported 7,748 Covid-19 cases yesterday, along with 86 fatalities.

Selangor continues to record the most cases at over 2,000 infections, followed by KL, and Negeri Sembilan.

Perlis is the only state with single digit cases with 8 new infections.

Environmentalists are urging the public to take advantage of the current lockdown to give mother earth an opportunity to regenerate.

Environmental activist Anthony Tan Kee Huat says we did it last year when the first MCO was imposed in March.

"The first lockdown in 2020 showed us that we can successfully allow the environment to heal. This 48th world environment day, reminds us of the importance to reimagine, recreate and restore the ecosystems surrounding us. Unfortunately, all the healing that came from 2020 has come to not after the
lockdown was lifted.” 

He spoke to us in conjunction with World Environment Day today.
