17 infected, as third person recovers from coronavirus

Feb 10, 2020

Malaysia has recorded its 17th coronavirus infection.

The latest patient is a 65-year-old woman, who's the mother-in-law of one of the other Malaysians who tested positive earlier.

The good news is that a third coronavirus patient has made a full recovery.

The 63-year-old man from China was discharged from HKL yesterday, after subsequent tests showed he was negative for the virus.

Two others - a man and a young girl from China - are the others who've already recovered from the virus here.

No Malaysians affected by Thailand shooting rampage

There are no Malaysian casualties in the tragic shopping mall shooting in Thailand.

Our embassy there says so far its not received any reports that Malaysians were among the injured, with some sources saying all the victims were Thai.

At least 29 people were killed, when a soldier went on a shooting spree at a mall in Korat, before he himself was shot dead by security forces.
