IT consultancy company warns of rising QR code scams

An IT consultancy company has warned that scammers have started using fake QR codes to steal data and money from users.
According to the NST, cyber criminals are now sticking their own codes over a business’ original one to steal data or access the scanner's phone.
It has urged merchants regularly check to ensure malicious codes are not pasted on their merchandise or posted on their websites.
