Lowyat.net admin to be called up by police

The police will call up the administrators of Lowyat.net, after the site reported a data leak involving organ donors.

The leak is said to include MyKad details, contact numbers, home addresses and details of their next-of-kin.

The cops say they're trying to find out if this report came from the same source that reported the previous data leak of over 50 million telco users.

The police add that the investigation into the telco data leak is now under the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission.
