Donald Trump overturns decades of official US policy

President Donald Trump has overturned decades of official US policy, by recognising Jerusalem as Israel's capital.
Trump says the move is a long overdue step to advance the Middle East peace process, but many international leaders don't agree.
Israel and Palestine had been fighting over the ancient city, which had been earmarked by Palestine as the capital of a future state.
Protests broke out in areas of Jordan's capital in response to Trump's announcement, while Palestine called the move deplorable, saying the US can no longer be a peace broker.
