Case of kidnapped boy classified as murder

KL police have classified the case of a kidnapped boy from Jinjang as murder, after the 5-year-old's body was found at a hill slope at the Kemensah waterfalls near Zoo Negara.

The child was found decapitated with his limbs bound, in what police believe was a ransom attempt gone awry.

A 26-year-old relative of the victim who was desperate for cash, is believed to have grabbed the boy but panicked after the child's father lodged a police report.

The remanded suspect led the police to the victim's body.
