Employers asked to lodge police reports against workers using fake MCs

The Health Ministry has asked employers who suspect their workers are using fake MCs to lodge a police report or take internal action.

This follows the emergence of a syndicate that is actively promoting its "30 ringgit for a fake MC" deal on Facebook.

The group claims it maintains a high level of discretion and will destroy all evidence in case of a raid, while all fake documents will be sent through the mail.

The Ministry has reminded the public that using fake MCs are illegal.
