140 motorists summoned to court for misusing emergency
Jul 05, 2016
JPJ has issued court summonses to 140 motorists who misused emergency lanes from last Wednesday until Sunday, under Ops Khas Aidilfitri.
More motorists will receive summonses when other road users upload photos of them violating the law on JPJ's website.
It has warned repeatedly that those found misusing emergency lanes won't be compounded but summoned to court straightaway.
Those found guilty of the offence can be fined up to 2,000 ringgit or 6 months' jail or both.
